This is the privacy policy (the “Policy”) for Credit Path. This Policy explains Credit Path’s policies for the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information. Credit Path abides by applicable privacy legislation, including, but not limited to, the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), as amended from time to time.

For purposes herein, “personal information” means information about an identifiable individual.

THE INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Credit Path offers credit counselling and financial services.

The types of personal information we may collect include: name and contact information, date of birth, language preference, credit information, debt information, income and financial information, as well as social media user identification names. We may also collect non-identifiable information, such as cookies, IP addresses, and web beacons, which cannot directly identify an individual but may identify the individual when combined with other available information. Calls to or from our staff may be recorded for purposes of accuracy, performance reviews, and training.

HOW WE COLLECT INFORMATION

Credit Path collects information by various methods, including information actively provided by clients and (with consent) credit checks and information arising from our credit counselling services.

HOW WE USE THIS INFORMATION

The personal information we collect is only used to provide our services to clients. Client contact information may also be used for internal purposes, such as sending newsletters, updates, announcements, and other information to better serve our clients.

Credit Path may use aggregated or anonymous information, which is not linked to identified individuals, for various purposes.

WHO WE SHARE THIS INFORMATION WITH

Credit Path does not share personal information with third parties except as required to provide or improve our services. This may include disclosing personal information to creditors. We may also provide information to consultants, subcontractors, professional advisers, or other third parties (who are bound by privacy obligations) to assist with the uses disclosed in this Policy. If we refer a client to a third party for advice or services we do not provide, we will share the client’s information with the third party only with the client’s consent.

Credit Path may disclose personal information if required by law, including orders, subpoenas, warrants, or other legal requests from courts, tribunals, regulators, or law enforcement agencies. Our policy is to request legal documentation (order, subpoena, or warrant) unless the information is urgently needed to prevent serious injury or property damage.

Credit Path may also disclose personal information to another entity purchasing our assets, provided that entity abides by this Policy or a similar privacy policy.

By providing your phone number and/or joining our SMS Service, you authorize Credit Path to contact you (including via autodialers, automated text, and pre-recorded messages) through various methods, even if your number is listed on any Do Not Call list.
